Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PGMR) is an effective, easy to learn relaxation technique.
​
It can be helpful for a range of problems, especially sleeping problems or anxiety problems such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder (excessive or difficult to control worry).
​
The relaxation technique should be practiced at a regular time every day (twice a day if possible) and should be practiced whether feeling stressed and anxious or relaxed.
​
During development of this worksheet we found the instructions on existing worksheets were open to some misinterpretation. By clearly illustrating the exercise, our worksheet hopefully eliminates any possible confusion.
